We’re excited to fill you guys in on what we’ve been up to for the last few months. In December, we brought Matchaful to life and launched our very first pop-up café in Dumbo, Brooklyn. Situated along the water on Jay Street, we partnered with Brooklyn Coffee Roasting Company to secure the space and celebrate the launch of our Single Origin Hikari matcha.
Our team worked together thoughtfully to redesign the interior and create a mindful, warm café experience that embodies the authentic and organic properties of our own matcha sourcing process in Japan. With white walls, reclaimed wood, flourishing greenery, and personal photographs of our Single Origin farm, the café invites customers to peacefully discover the rituals of a true Matchaful experience.
Upon entrance, our heartwarming and knowledgeable staff guides customers through our exciting and inventive matcha menu. Using our ceremonial Single Origin Hikari matcha as the base of all our drinks, our team curated a list of creative and wholesome recipes that feature seasonal lattes, adaptogenic ingredients, and healthful matcha treats. Our Coco Vanilla Zen, Turmeric Zing, and Spicy Cacao lattes have been some of our regulars’ favorites! We’ve also partnered with local chocolatier maker, Eat Chic Chocolate, who has created healthy matcha chocolate butter cups for our sweet tooths in the area.
With an acute focus on sustainable and fresh ingredients, it’s been such a privilege to meet customers face to face and educate them about the true craft of our matcha – from farm to whisk. Over the last few months our team has eagerly built a community around the Matchaful cafe and is constantly creating new experiences to further bring everyone together. By hosting monthly private tastings, tea ceremonies, and guided meditations, we encourage customers to explore the matcha culture in a deeper and more mindful way.
